among the treetops

Thanks to one of the dads who came on our excursion, Chris Smith, we have a bunch of great photos from our Greenheart Canopy Walkway tour so I wanted to share them here to give you more a sense of what it’s like. We were lucky, it was the last beautiful, warm, sunny day before the rain started up again and the garden was in full bloom. There were some truly amazing magnolia trees and flowers – some of the blossoms were as big as our heads.

The unadultered forest.

A walkway bridge and platform from below.

Crossing a bridge. They're very narrow and wiggly. Not for the faint of heart.

More bridge crossing.

The light through the trees is actually the ocean.

Mr. R. The only (little) boy on the excursion.

Even the little ones were listening.

Everyone but one grandma who wasn't too fond of heights and didn't want to climb to the second storey of this platform. The heighest point of the whole walkway.

Walking down from the upper storey to the lower storey of the viewing platform.

One of the last things you look down on before you descend is a huge erratic boulder. And one of the first things the kids did after they got off the last bridge was climb the boulder.

Annemarie this looks like such an incredible experience. Such a Westcoast excursion! Definitely adding it to my list of “Things I Want To Do When Bella Is A Bit Older”!
great photos!
Thanks for sharing! I didn’t know about this!
This looks amazing – I hope I get to check it out soon.
