Homemade Popsicles

In a bowl, puree a fruit of your choice such as ripe nectarines, fresh local berries, 1/2 of a banana or a tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango or papaya. Mix with a little water, pour into a popsicle tray and allow to freeze. For fun, add chopped up mint leaves, fresh raspberry pieces, whole blueberries or even coconut to make them extra tasty.

Snacks:

Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and cucumbers are just a few examples of snacks that have a high water content and can also be a great satisfying snack on a hot day.

Dr. Brown also recommended avoiding drinks with artificial colour, sugar and carbonation.

That looks yummy! This past weekend we cut up a big watermelon but it was too much to eat before it went bad – so we froze some triangles of it – frozen watermelon triangles are very refreshing!
