When I wrote about summer must-haves a few weeks ago the list included Herbal Armor’s Kids Insect Repellent and I noted that while I’d put it to the test, the bugs weren’t abounding as yet, so I couldn’t speak to its efficacy as much as I”d like to.
Well, a recent week away in the bug-infested interior gave me the chance to put it to a much more rigorous test. And it definitely repels mosquitoes – the main plague where we were. To be strictly scientific I even tried putting it just on my feet and legs one day, and leaving my upper body unprotected. My feet were fancy-free, not so my hands and arms.
It’s a white spray that you need to rub in and it has a citronella scent that’s not too strong or overpowering. And it made me feel better than using mosquito coils or the remnants of OFF that could be found. I didn’t do an OFF vs. Herbal Armor test, but we’ll be sticking with Herbal Armor Kids for the summer – for adults and kids alike, as I don’t see any reason to buy a kid’s and adult’s version.

where did you get it?
I got it at Lavish & Lime (www.lavishandlime.com) and I think they’re having a summer sale right now, so hopefully you can get a deal on it!
