mums are all atwitter

Sue Sinclair from Raspberry Kids and I have been invited to talk about mums and social media – from an experienced but not “expert” point of view – on May 29th at momcafé.
While I’m not a fan of public speaking, I am excited to be talking at momcafé, especially on this topic, which is near and dear to my heart as I’m all over social media right now. I started tweeting as yoyomama_van at Christmas time and it was instantly addictive, plus I ended up connecting with all sorts of interesting people I’d never have found any other way.
When we put on an event for our existing advertisers starring the fabulous Kate of My Name is Kate (you can get all the event info here) I got even more excited about it. Right now we’re busy exploring it and learning more about it and it’ll be great to be able to share it with the momcafé audience on the 29th.
Sue and I have made a pact to try and sell out the event using social media (mainly Twitter) and I’ve also invited Keri of Crunchy Carpets and Gwen from Left Coast Mama who are pro-bloggers to be on hand, as I’m sure they can pipe up when blogging questions arise.
So if you’re relatively new to social media and want to learn more in the company of a great group of mums (danishes & lattes are included in the price and they provide great childcare for an extra $5/tot), here’s your chance!

Reminder to sign up by April 17th and you could win your choice of a Fill Your Own stainless steel water bottle made by local Mompreneur, Annette Yang!
Hope to see you there.
Have a fresh, healthy and fun day,
Sue
